Baron Williamson, M.D.

Dr. Williamson, a native of Baton Rouge, is a graduate of LSU Medical School and completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Birmingham in Alabama. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Williamson founded one of the first centers in the United States devoted exclusively to cosmetic laser surgery. There he pioneered the use of the CO2 laser for eyelid surgery and laser skin resurfacing. Dr. Williamson specializes in Cataract surgery including the life style improvement lens implants, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma management, dry eye disease, cosmetic eyelid surgery, brow lifts, re constructive surgery of the eyelids and laser resurfacing. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Williamson has written numerous articles, lectured extensively and served as a medical consultant for the laser industry, training physicians from around the world in state-of –the –art laser techniques.
